There are some new offerings at the Fargo Public Libraries.

Kids book club bags
The Fargo Libraries have had adult book club bag kits and starting March 1 the Main Library will have kid kits available to check out. The kits will contain 10 copies of a title and a list of suggested discussion questions. The kits may be checked out for six weeks. The kits may be reserved to be picked up at the Northport or the Dr. James Carlson branches. Check out the library’s Children’s Services page for a list of titles available.

State park passes
The Fargo Libraries now have ND State Park passes that can be checked out using a Fargo Public Library card. There are a limited number available at all three library locations. residents interested in checking out the passes should ask at the Check Out Desk.

The passes check out for one week, are subject to overdue fees and are renewable. The passes are provided by the North Dakota State Library and the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department. Each pass provides daily vehicle access to any North Dakota State Park. Additional charge, such as camping, are the responsibility of the pass holder.

Many public libraries offer services other than just books. Many offer internet service and computers, CDs and DVDs to check out, audio books and ebooks. There are also many programs and events for children, teens and adults.
