A while back I purchased a Papasan chair at the thrift store. I finally took the time to purchase fabric to make a new cushion for it.

To purchase a new cushion would cost $70 – $100. I paid $30 for the fabric, which was marked 40% off. I could have purchased less expensive fabric but decided to purchase home decor/upholstery fabric so it lasts longer. I purchased two different patterns so it can be flipped for a little bit of different look.

I filled it with old bed pillows, a blanket and craft fiber fill. It only took a few minutes to sew the seams and fill the cushion. I think it took almost longer standing in line to have the fabric cut. I updated the frame with paint I had on hand from another project.
