Consumeable gifts are becoming more popular so people don’t accumulate more “stuff”. Some ideas are food items or gift baskets containing to a hobby or interest of the recipient.

I recently made this recipe for spiced carrot bread. You could wrap a loaf in plastic wrap and tie with a decorative ribbon. There are also mini bread pans so you could make a gift basket with two or three loaves and other items such as flavored butters or jam.

There are many recipes available for breads and muffins. Another recipe I have tried is the Red Lobster Cheese Biscut Bread.

Another idea is to make up cookie dough, make into rolls and freeze. This way the recipient can bake the cookies when it is conveneient for them.

This is part of a series I am doing for DIY holiday ideas. Click Here for the other posts from the month.
