I recently tried another recipe using ground beef, Spicy Cheeseburger Soup. I omitted the jalapeno pepper and bacon. It was good and tasted almost better warmed up for lunch the next day.

The Taste of Home magazines are a great source for recipes. The recipes are submitted by readers so most have common place ingredients. You can also get recipes from their website or Facebook page. They also compile all of the recipes from the year into a hard cover cookbook each year. I have the annual cookbooks for a number of years and prefer that than the monthly magazines. When I received the monthly magazines it didn’t seem like I usually found many recipes that interested me.

I get many compliments for recipes I have made from these cookbooks. The hard cover cookbooks are about $20 but many times they have sales on their cookbooks for about $5.
