There are two upcoming presentations in the area to learn about finances. Many of these things we may already know, but it is useful to hear them again.
On Saturday, Sept. 24 Edward Jones Investments will be hosting a Women’s Expo. It includes breakfast, vendors and a presentation “A Women’s Guide to Money Matters.” It will be held at the Cheney Junior High (commons and Auditorium) at 825 17th Ave E, West Fargo.
The event starts at 9:30 with breakfast and vendor booths. The
presentation will start at 10:00 and run until 11:00. At 11:00 there
will be door prizes and more opportunity to shop at the vendor booths. There are about 25 vendors registered for the event.
There is no fee and no need to register for the event.
Then the YWCA Cass Clay and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans are hosting a financial literacy event on October 13. Sheri Cooper, Regional Managing Partner for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will present “Empowering your Financial Future: Someday is Today!”
The event will be at the YWCA Emergency Shelter at 3000 South University Drive, Fargo with the social at 5:30 and Presentation at 6:00. I attended one of these events a few months ago and it was about 1 1/2 hour presentation. There is no fee for the event but seating is limited. To RSVP contact Darren Buttke at (701) 232-2547 or firstname.lastname@example.org by October 10.
This is an educational offering and no products will be sold. As they said at the last event I attended, many times when we think of the YWCA we think of residents of the shelter, but their mission is to empower all women.
