I did my first session of Junior Achievement lessons today, for this year.  Last year was the first time I had volunteered for Junior Achievement.  Through Junior Achievement business people volunteer in classrooms to teach financial matters to school kids.  The lessons are 5 sessions and the material is all ready for you.  Last year I did it one day a week for 5 weeks and this year we are doing it 5 days in a row.  The sessions run from 30 minutes to an hour.

It is fun to see the way the kids react to the information.   And like some of the teachers have said, that the kids enjoy listening to someone else once in awhile.

Last year I volunteered for a fourth grade class and this year I am doing 3rd grade.

It is a very rewarding experience and would highly recommend giving it a try.
